What can I expect my 2.5 - 3 year old to learn?

Three year olds work on listening skills and following directions. They begin developing basic motor skills such as balance, coordination, rhythm and mimicking an instructor’s movement. Dancing also helps the mental maturity of a child, helping them to become self-motivated and confident. It takes a good studio with strong beliefs and good teachers with their heart in what they do to make all of this happen and Showcase Dance Centre has done it and will continue to improve and excel!

Do you have a dance "team" that takes part in competitions?

Yes, we have a performing Dance Company made up of Mini, Tiny, Junior and Senior companies. Participation in the Dance Company occurs by invitation and/or audition, with the teaching faculty and a panel of judges determining annually those students who exhibit the dedication, attitude and proficiency to represent the studio in public performances and competitions. In addition to attending classes several nights per week, Company members perform in shows, competitions and workshops regionally and nationally. If you are interested in the SDC competition company, please inquire about additional information, we encourage all students to audition.

When do classes begin?

We have classes year round, however our dance season begins mid-August and runs through June like the school year. It is of the student’s best interest to start at the beginning of the season, however we will accept new students later in the year (please call or stop by to see if class space is available). We also offer summer camps and classes.

How do I register my daughter/son for classes?
